Toyota Iraq has officially launched the all-new Toyota Hilux 2027 across ten cities in Iraq. The multi-city event marked both the debut of the latest generation model and a celebration of Hilux’s enduring presence in the lives of Iraqis for decades.
Since the 1970s, the Hilux name has been deeply intertwined with Iraq’s roads, industries, and daily life. It has become a dependable partner across diverse segments of society, from farmers and engineers to business owners, tradespeople, and families. Over the years, it has earned its reputation as the benchmark pickup truck trusted for everyday utility across all environments and demanding conditions.
The all-new 2027 Hilux introduces a reimagined exterior and interior alongside upgraded features, delivering modern innovation while safeguarding the uncompromising practicality that defined its heritage in Iraq.
The launch events took place simultaneously across Baghdad, Erbil, Basra, Duhok, Sulaymaniyah, Najaf, Diwaniyah, Fallujah, Kut, Nu’maniyah, and Kirkuk, allowing guests across the country to experience the new model firsthand. Attended by prominent figures and guests, the events featured a comprehensive presentation tracing Hilux’s historical milestone, highlighting the key innovations of the 2027 edition, and culminating in the vehicle's official unveiling.
The 2027 Hilux features extensive exterior and interior updates designed to elevate the driving experience and daily usability, with a modern interior equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, an 8-speaker premium audio system, ventilated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger.
For the exterior, the bold design draws inspiration from the commanding, anchored stance of a sumo wrestler, lending the truck a more muscular, authoritative presence while retaining its functional open cargo bed.
The Hilux 2027 is available in Iraq with two engine options, a 4.0L V6 (1GR-FE) and a 2.7L 4-cylinder (2TR-FE), alongside front and rear sonar clearance sensors for confident maneuvering.
Hilux’s presence in Iraq is not strictly due to its technical specifications, it is rooted in the vital role it has played alongside generations of drivers. The launch of the 2027 edition is the next chapter in this long journey, pairing a refreshed design and advanced equipment with the timeless dependability that remains Hilux's hallmark.
